Getting a group shot

It is becoming harder and harder to get a group shot now that these guys are mobile. Hopefully we will get some over the holidays but below are some individual ones that turned out pretty good.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Well with the holidays coming up and the kids birthday around the corner everything is about to get even busier I have a feeling.
Brea went and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hug last weekend for a few days and had a lot of fun. She got to visit different places and people and even went shopping in Fort Wayne, saw santa at the mall and got her picture taken and went out to eat a couple places. She must have had a great time becuase when I came to see her she cried at her own mommy :(. At least she got over that quickly since she is stuck with me :). I think she enjoyed her time away from the boys so she could do girly things like shopping at disney for a princess purse and of course getting all the attention.
While she stayed in Edgerton, Jeff and I took the boys to the lights at the zoo, to see santa at Easton mall and even out to eat a couple times and introduced them to our favorite place (BW's). It was nice to give to have one on one time with each of them. Brody will have his turn to go to Grandma and Grandpa's next for his one on one time with them.
We spent thanksgiving at both Grandma and Grandpa Hug's house and then Grandma and Grandpa Recker's. The kids did pretty good but of course they were tired from all the travel and not being at home.
While we were in Edgerton, Gage got his first haircut by my step sister Amber. He was getting a bit of a mullet so she trimmed up the back and he looked like such a big boy sitting there getting it done. He was so good during it.
I posted some of the recent pics we took of them. Will try to update soon if I get a chance. Things are much busier now that they are standing and walking around everything!

All together...smile! Ok maybe not :)

1st Halloween

We made it through the first halloween and probably the easiest one since we didn't have to worry about candy yet. We thought it was appropriate to dress them as the Three little pigs this year if for nothing else than to get a bunch of pictures that I'm sure will embarrass them someday :). Thurs. night was Trick or Treat in Columbus so we walked them around our neighborhood and then took them over to visit Tyson. Friday afternoon we left for the weekend and took the piggies to the farm (Grandpa and Grandma Recker's). We got some pictures of them in their costumes and they played and we spent the night there and even got to see some of their cousins and watch how the big kids played. Sat. we went to Edgerton to Grandma and Grandpa Hug's. Edgerton had their Trick or Treat sat evening so we stopped down and visited Great Grandpa Denny and Norma and then went up to the Fire Hall where they even took part in getting their costumes judged and won for best group! They did surprisingly good for it not starting until 7:30 (which is their bedtime) but they did take a little cat nap in the car while driving around. We had a very fun weekend with them visiting everyone and dressing them up for their first halloween. There are some pictures posted below of them in their costumes.

Movers and shakers!

It has been quite the eventful couple of weeks here. Brody has been slithering around on his belly for awhile now and within the last couple weeks Gage starting crawling around on his hands and knees. Brody still does his army crawl but also crawls on his hands and knees and is getting quite fast. Brea has been trying to crawl but going in reverse for awhile but today she did go forward a couple steps. We decided to set up a superyard in our living room to contain them for now since they were going off the mat onto the hardwood floor and losing their toys under the furniture all the time.
We also had them upstairs in the spare bedroom the other night and Gage and Brody decided to crawl out into the hallway where I was while Jeff was giving Brea her bath. Yep...so the baby gate went up today! The boys have also been trying to pull themselves up by grabbing the bar on the changing table lately and we caught Brody first kneeling in his crib and then standing in there today and shaking the bars. Yep....the cribs also got lowered today :).
Also Gage has had a cold for the past few days and the other two are starting to sniffle too but not quite as bad yet. Hopefully it moves out of here quickly and they don't get worse. We have been so lucky so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Gage went and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hug for a couple of days a few weeks ago so he could lots of one on one attention. They want to take turns taking each one of the kids so he got to do things he hasn't done before like go shopping and sit in the cart and go out to a restaurant and even got to go by himself to the zoo and rode a pony, train, visit the goats and ride a different merry-go-round. It sounds like he was on his best behavior and enjoyed all of the attention. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa H!
I have posted some of the recent pics below. They kids go back for their 9 month check up soon so I will try to post more after that.

We're in trouble now!
